Following that Powley would go on to have appearances in several other shows including The Bill, Little Dorrit, Murderland, Victoria Wood’s Mid-Life Christmas, and The Cabin. Then in 2013, Powley had her film debut in Side By Side portraying Lauren Buckle. The following year, she appeared in a British sitcom, Benidorm.
In 2015 Powley would play what would become her breakout role in The Diary Of A Teenage Girl as Minnie Goetze. The Critics Choice winner did two more movies in 2015, A Royal Night Out and Equals. Subsequently, in 2016, Powley starred in a thriller, Detour, and a comedy-drama film, Carrie Pilby. She then portrayed Claire Clairmont in the period drama film Mary Shelley. In 2018, the London native appeared in three films: Wilding, White Boy Rick, and Ashes In The Snow. That year she also played Holly Morten in a British television drama programme, Informer. The following year, she started to voice the character of Little My in the animated series Moominvalley.

We started our as inseparable friends. And soon we realized that every moment together was better than one without.
Douglas asked Powley to marry him in July 2021 on Primrose Hill in London. It apparently is also the place where the Romeo And Juliet actor said he loved Bel for the first time in 2016.

Bel and Douglas married on October 28 2023 in their hometown of London at Petersham Nurseries, a Michelin Green Star in Richmond. They had their rehearsal dinner at Cafe Cecilia in Hackney.
